Almost Playground

As I posted on Facebook, we are not done with the playground. It will take another weekend to complete but hopefullly we can put up railings on the big tower and finish the big slide so they can have full acess. Swings and monkey bars would be the other parts waiting.

    WOW!!! That looks great!!! Can I play at your daycare?! The fence is great too! I bet the kids are just wild over it!

    Of course you can come play! The kids told Gideon today that he forgot to fix the playground. They also ask me several times a day if it is ready, especialy when they see me put in more bolts on that slide! Gid says by Tuesday.... I'll keep plugging away at the slide. Only about 25 bolts left.

video version Why would we do such a thing? About us: we are a family of five with two teenagers and an elementary age. We found our dream house but it is in the middle of nowhere. So we packed us all up and moved with all of us excited and onboard. We moved off grid and off road.  Why:  1. We needed some upgrades to our existing house and we just didn't love our house. Old Enough to Know Better but too young to Care

We're doing something. It might be a bad idea. Honestly we've both looked at each other and said, "This is a bad idea." Here's the shortest version I can give you. In seventy-two hours or less, we will buy our dream house in the middle of no where, off grid, with issues (like a whole house heat set-up), with everything that touches the house costing more money. More on how we got to this point later.  For now some of the nitty gritting. We are moving as a family of five. We would not consider ourselves adventurers or outdoor enthusiasts although we enjoy doing things together outside. Following is the progression of bumps and choices we chose to make and continued to pursue the house of our dreams.  1. What some parents don't do

Today I raised the bar on things that most parents do and I don't. AnnaBelle crawls very well and very fast. The problem is that she has no reverse. So I heard her cry out from the "Big Room" at daycare and I was in the kitchen. This is what I saw. Instead of rushing to her aid as most loving mothers. I ran for the camera and snapped some photos! Then as the children were swarming to, "let me see" (the photo) I quickly pulled her out and set her on her way.
